Illegal Trade: Illegalgoods, Vehicles, Jade And Timber Seized

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade. On the 19thand 20th of July, clothes, consumer goods, electronic products, walkie talkies and accessories without officials documents, illegal teak doors, unregistered motorbike, illegal timber, undocumented consumer goods, illegal raw jade, an unregistered vehicle and illegal teak were seized in Muse Township of Shan State, Hlaingthaya Township of Yangon Region, Monywa and Htigyaing townships of Sagaing Region as well as on the Mandaly-PyinOoLwin Road and at the 16thmile Kyaukchaw Checkpoint and in Pandaung, Okpo and Zigon townships. In total,illegal goods, vehicles, jade and timber worth over 189 million Kyats were seized on the 19th and 20th of July. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
