Illegal Trade: Illegalgoods, vehicles and timber seized

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the12, 13, 14 and 16 July, undeclared foodstuffs, consumer goods and car parts, an unregistered vehicle, undocumented duty-free cosmetics and foodstuffs, illegal timber and clothes as well as hardwood parts and unliensed vehicles were seized at the Mayanchaung Permanent Checkpoint and in Mawlamyine Township, in Minhla Township as well as near the Phayagyi Tollgate and in Bago and Toungoo districts.

In total, illegal goods, vehicles and timber worth over 255 million Kyats were seized on 12, 13, 14 and 16 July. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
