Illegal Trade: Illegal timber, goods and vehicle seized

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

From the 20th to the 25th of October, illegal timber, communication materials, detergent, beer, motorbike tyres and vehicle were seized in Pyinmana, Lewe and Ottarathiri townships, at the Yangon International Airport Cargo Warehouse, at the Mayanchaung Permanent Checkpoint, at the Thanlwin Bridge (Hpa-An) Combined Checkpoint and at the Kawkareik (Tadakyoe) Combined Checkpoint.

In total, illegal timber, goods and vehicle worth over 165 million Kyats were confiscated. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
