Illegal Trade: Illegal items worth over 37 million Kyats seized

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 1st and 2nd of May, undocumented consumer goods, illegal energy drink bottles and illegal timbers were seized at the 16-mile checkpoint in Mandalay, Mayanchaung Permanent Checkpoint of Mon State, in Pyu Township of Taungoo District and in Kanbalu Township.

In total, illegal items worth over 37 million Kyats were seized on the 1st and 2nd of May. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
