Illegal Trade: Illegal goods worth over 214 mln Kyats seized

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade. From the 24th to the 27th of January, illegal goods including various foreign-made beverages, iron spring,  LED soft light band, power supply units, umbrellas, sprayer pumps, bearing, charging cables, phone stands, tractor head and trailer worth over 214 million Kyats were seized in Mingaladon Township and at the Myanmar International Terminal Thilawa, at the Hteedan container checkpoint, at the Myanmar Industrial Port container checkpoint andat the Yangon International Airport warehouse as well as on the Myawaddy-Hpa-an-Yangon highway. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
