Illegal Trade: Illegal goods, vehicle and timber confiscated

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 5th, 6th and 7th of December, illegal peanut seed bags, unregistered vehicle, timber and clothes worth over 243 million Kyats were confiscated on the Asia Highway in Myawaddy township and at the MaU combined checkpoint in Monywa township as well as in Toungoo, Nyaunglebin, Pyay and Thayawady districts and at the 16-Mile Kyaukchaw checkpoint.

Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
