Illegal Trade: Illegal Goods, Timber And Vehicle Seized

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 12th, 13th and 14th of September, illegal car tyres, consumer goods, timber including teak, motorbike tyres and vehicle were seized on the Yangon-Hpa-An-Myawaddy Road and in Magway township area, in Lewe Township and at the Kawkareik (Tadakyoe) Combined Checkpoint as well as on the Yangon-Mawlamyine Road and in Toungoo and Nyaunglaybin districts. In total, illegal goods, timber and vehicle worth over 100 million Kyats were confiscated. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
