Illegal Trade: Illegal Goods, Timber And Motorbikes Seized

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 26th, 27th, 28th and 29th of August, illegal old bicycles, water purifier, rice cookers, toilet accessories,  furniture, teak,  chemicals, fertilizers, trailer, Acetic Acid Sodium Salt, rice, cobras,  timber and motorbikes were seized at the Mayanchaung Permanent Checkpoint and in Hlegu township and at the 16th-Mile Kyaukchaw Checkpoint as well as Myitkyina township, Indaw township and in Toungoo and Nyaunglebin districts.

In total, illegal goods, timber and motorbikes worth over 1 billion Kyats were confiscated. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
