Illegal Trade: Illegal goods and vehicles confiscated

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 17th, 18th and 19th of December, illegal medium-density fibreboards, Asphalt drums, foodstuffs, industrial materials, consumer goods and vehicles worth over 364 million Kyats were seized at the Mayanchaung Permanent checkpoint in Mon State and in Mawlamyine Township area as well as on the Yangon-Mandalay expressway and in DaikU Township and at the Kawkareik (Tadakyoe) combined checkpoint.

Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
