Illegal Trade: Illegal goods and vehicle confiscated

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 31st of January and on the 1st and 3rd of February, illegal goods including engine oil, walkies-talkies, PVC Skirting, tyres, vehicle and cooking oil worth over  239 million Kyats were confiscated at the Mayanchaung Permanent Checkpoint and at the Yangon International Airpot as well as on the Yangon-Hpa-An-Myawaddy Road and in Bago Township, in North Okkalapa Township and at the Thanlwin Bridge Combined Checkpoint.

Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
