Illegal Trade: Illegal goods and unlicensed vehicle seized

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th of June, bags of cement without payment for customs duties, double tapes without import licence, undeclared TV and bicycle accessories, illegal beer cartons and white seed and an unlicensed vehicle were seized in Kawthoung Township of Taninthayi Region, at the Myanmar Industrial Container Port, on the Mandalay-PyinOoLwin Road and in Sagaing Region.

In total, illegal goods and unlicensed vehicle worth over 67 million Kyats were seized on the 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th of June. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
