Illegal Trade: Illegal goods and timber seized

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 3rd, 4th and 5th of December, illegal foodstuffs, goods, used bicycles and timber worth over 152 million Kyats were seized on the Asia Highway in Myawady, at the Yangon International Airport and at the Mayanchaung permanent checkpoint as well as on the Monywa-YeU Road and in Toungoo and Nyaunglebin districts. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
