Illegal Trade: Illegal goods and timber confiscated

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 19th and 20th of December, illegal cosmetics, edible oil, foodstuffs, motorbike,consumer goods, crude oil, 50 cartons of cigarette and timber worth over 172 million Kyats were seized at the Yangon International Airport and on the Yangon-Myawaddy Pyidaungsu highway as well as in Kengtung township, in Taze township, in Monywa township, in Minbu township, on the Mandalay-PyinOoLwin road and in Ingapu and Yekyi townships. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
