Illegal Trade: Illegal goods and timber confiscated

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 16th and 17th of December, illegal elevator and electrical accessories, edible oil, fuel and timber worth over 60 million Kyats were seized at the Yangon International Airport, at the Myanmar Industrial Port Container Inspection Checkpoint and at the Tadakyoe combined checkpoint as well as in Toungoo District. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
