Illegal Trade: Illegal goods and teak confiscated

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 31st of December 2022 and the 1st of January 2023, illegal clothes, foodstuffs, consumer goods, alcohol, beer and sawn teak worth over 58 million Kyats were confiscated in Lashio Township area of Shan State, in Falam, Mindat, Tonzang and Paletwa townships of Chin State and in Yedashe Township of Bago Region. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
