Illegal Trade: Illegal goods and teak confiscated

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 15th and 16th of December, illegal fancy chains, fertilizers, sandals, construction materials and sawn teak worth over 281 million Kyats were seized at the Myanmar Industrial Port container checkpoint in Yangon and in Pyawbwe township, at the Mayanchaung permanent checkpoint in Mon State and in Shwepyitha township of Yangon Region. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
