Illegal Trade: Illegal consumer goods, vehicles, teak seized

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 8th, 9th and 10th of June, duty-free food and consumer goods, unregistered vehicles, duty-free cooking oil and soft drinks, unlicensed motorbikes and illegal teak and timber were seized in Hopong Township of Shan State, Dahatkan  Village-Tract of Magway Region, in Thayet Township of Magway Region, at the Mayanchaung Permanent Inspection Station and in Sagaing Region.

In total, illegal consumer goods, unregistered vehicles and illegal timber worth over 134 million Kyats were seized on the 8th, 9th and 10th of June. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
