An effective action is being taken to prevent illegal trade under the law supervised by the Anti-Illegal Trade Steering Committee.

On 1 September, an inspection team led by the Maritime Police Force captured 4,800 gallons of diesel and 280 gallons of fuel at the Nyaungpingyi jetty in Monywa Township, Sagaing Region. On 2 September, an inspection team led by the Forest Department nabbed illegal teak in the 18-Mawkuu forest reserve.

On 3 September, an on-duty team confiscated duty-free foodstuffs and home appliances from a Yutong bus at the Thanlwin Bridge (Hpa-an) Combined Checkpoint.

The Muse District Anti-Illegal Trade Task Force seized foodstuffs, construction materials and stainless-steel seat legs from a Dongfeng truck in the Pankham Bus Terminal compound in Muse Township. Therefore, 11 arrests (approximately 235.926 million Kyats) were made on three consecutive days from 1 to 3 September, according to the Anti-Illegal Trade Steering Committee.
