Ikea suspends operations at 17 Russian stores

Moscow residents rushed to local IKEA stores on Thursday as the Swedish furniture giant is set to join the parade of Western companies leaving the Russian market.

The Associated Press learned queue spots were being bought and sold on the last day of Ikea stores operating in Moscow. Some customers felt betrayed.

"I don't think it's completely right they target common people like that, picking chain retailers like Ikea", said Moscow resident Olga Mosina.
