Justices on the International Criminal Court in The Hague have issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, his former defense chief and the military head of Hamas.

They said leaders on both sides of the conflict in Gaza have committed war crimes. The warrants could significantly restrict Netanyahu's efforts at diplomacy. A total of 124 countries and territories are members of the court, and they are all obligated to detain a suspect inside their borders.

Netanyahu rejected the court's decision, saying he is leading a "just" war and trying to avoid harm to civilians. He added that the warrants were issued by "biased judges who are motivated by anti-Semitic sentiments."
