



The several markets in Yangon including Yuzana Plaza, Mingar Market, BoGyoke Market and many more reopens as of 1st November, 2021. After temporarily closing the markets for almost 90 days, all the shops at the markets reopen following the Covid-19 instructions.
Although there is a total of 28 entrances at Yuzana Plaza and only 5 main entrances are accessible for the sellers and buyers. The market opens from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. The people who do shipping in Plaza need to wear masks and use hand sanitizer when they enter the market.
Owner, Clothing Wholesale and Retail, Wah Wah Soe said “The closure of the market for a long time affects the business, social and health. It’s a common impact for everybody. We encourage each other and also for our employees. We have already passed the first, second and third wave and the business is the most impact among other issues. I wish may all the people be free from Covid-19 infection and may peace and stability restore in the country.”
Yuzana Plaza is one of the main Clothing and Commodity retails and wholesale markets; it has 5 floors with over 2,000 shops. Some shops are preparing for reopening and some are still closed.
