Humanitarian aid: Provisions by Chinese Government arrived in Myanmar

Tianjin Air Cargo flight carrying humanitarian aid of the Government of the People’s Republic of China for cyclone Mocha affected areas landed at the Yangon International Airport on Monday morning.

The handover ceremony of relief aids was held at the air side and Chairman of Yangon Region Disaster Management Committee, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, Regional Ministers, Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar Mr. Chen Hai and officials, the Director General of Strategic Studies and Training Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Director of Yangon Region Disaster Management Committee and officials attended the event.

Later, the Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar handed over humanitarian aid provided by Chinese government for cyclone affected areas to the Yangon Region Chief Minister.

The donated items by the Chinese Government for cyclone affected people are 10,000 mosquito-nets and 10,000 blankets and the value is about 97,500 USD.
