Human Rights: MNHRC accepts complaints

MNHRC Law concerning violations of citizens’ constitutional and legal rights, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and the rights of persons with disabilities, children, women and those protected under United Nations human rights treaties to which Myanmar is a party.

Complaints may be submitted in person, by post, fax at 018-654678 or email at [email protected] to the Commission’s head office in Yangon or branch offices in Nay Pyi Taw, Mandalay, Sittwe and Pathein.

Each complaint must include the complainant’s full name, addresses and contact details, a description of the violation and resulting harm, a copy of the National Registration Card, supporting evidence where necessary, and the complainant’s signature. The Commission investigates eligible complaints in accordance with the law and procedures, excluding cases currently before courts, under appeal or revision or already subject to a final judgment or decision.
