Hsin Tat river water pumping: Solar power system installed in 2 sets of motors

Hailing 75th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee Independence Day, the installation of solar power system in 2 sets of 160-kilowatt motors at the Hsin Tat river water pumping step-2 in Sagaing Township was inaugurated on Thursday.

At the ceremony, Saging Region Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw said that there are 4 steps in the Hsin Tat electric river water pumping that was built to supply water to 4,200 acres of farmland.

By installing 2 sets of 160-kilowatt motors at the Hsin Tat electric river water pumping step-2, it can sufficiently supply water to 400-acre of farmland, reduce the cost of electricity consumption and supply electricity to be used in pumping to other necessary places as well as it can also support improving socio-economic life of local farmers.

He urged local people to cooperate in long-term durability of the river water pumping and regional development activities. The Region Chief Minister and the Chairman of Sagaing District Administrative Body formally opened 2 sets of 160-kilowatt motors and viewed around the electric river pumping station and installation of solar panels for two motors.

The Chief Minister and party then looked into water supply to local farmers and cordially greeted them. In response to the reports on agriculture and regional development, the Chief Minister coordinated essentials.

Hsin Tat Electric river water pumping can irrigate 4,200 acres of monsoon, winter and summer crops by pumping water from Ayeyawady River through 7.55-mile long main channel and 63.35-mile long tributary.
