






The Kayah State Public Health Department is currently conducting HPV vaccination for girls aged 9 to under 12 years old as a community-based cervical cancer prevention program. In the morning on December 22, Chief Minister U Zaw Myo Tin, accompanied by responsible officials, visited the vaccination site at Loikaw Township Hall to observe and encourage the vaccination activities.
First, the Chief Minister and officials arrived at Loikaw Township Hall, where they observed the preparations and ongoing vaccination of schoolgirls and out-of-school girls by health workers. The Chief Minister instructed the responsible officials to systematically coordinate to ensure that all eligible girls receive the vaccine.
Subsequently, the Chief Minister and officials distributed nutritional supplements to the vaccinated girls and warmly greeted and encouraged the parents and guardians.
The vaccination campaign will continue at local health clinics and neighborhood vaccination centers from December 22 to 31. On this day, 163 girls received the HPV vaccine, and it is reported that over 3,700 girls across the state will be vaccinated.
