Hotel Industry: Meeting with hoteliers in Nay Pyi Taw

Aiming for the systematic development of hotel industry and service and capacity enhancement of the hotel staff within Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory, Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs and Hotels and Tourism Jeng Phang Naw Taung held a meeting with the Myanmar Hotelier Association (Nay Pyi Taw), hoteliers and responsible officials at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw on 31st October.

During the meeting, the Union Minister stressed on providing standardized services in hosting state level events and meetings and strict supervision on hotel staff to secure proficient and best services for every occasion.

The Union Minister also encouraged the responsible officials to ensure easy access to capacity building trainings for the hotel staff, cleanliness and facelifting of the hotels and safety measures. He also called for the concerted efforts of the relevant individuals for the operational efficiency.

Next, the Director General from Directorate of Hotels and Tourism made clarifications on further task implementations for service proficiency, training courses and catering services matters. Then, the attendees presented reports on difficulties encountered and future work implementations. The Union Minister and relevant officials coordinated necessities upon reports.
