Hotel and tourism: Union Minister visited Kanbawzathadi Palace site

The Union Minister for Hotel and Tourism Dr. Htay Aung visited Kanbawzathardi Palace site in Bago Township and the director of the Department Archeological Research and National Museum clarified the background history of the palace site, status of excavation for research, reconstruction of palace building based on the findings through the research and the upgrading work process.

Next, U Phyo Lin Aung from Emerald Lake Company explained the status of Kanbawzathardi Palace site Historical Park to be implemented and the condition of arrival of the local and foreign visitors.

Then, the union minister gave necessary instructions regarding with the upgrading works and inspected the Hanthawady National Museum and the arrangements of collective food staffs for the visitors to the palace site.

In the evening, the union minister met with the Bago Region Chief Minister and members of regional government at Shwe Wa Tun and discussed for the development of tourism sector.

In the morning on July 13, the union minister met with the Bago region minister for economic affairs, departmental officials and hotel and tourism organizations at Shwe War Tun Hotel and instructed to receive the national level recognition certificate by the hotels and guest houses which have been examined in line with the Enchanting Myanmar Health and Safety Protocol, vaccination of Booster Dose for the staff members of hotel and tourism industry and the implementation of Guest List Management System.

Then, the Bago region minister for economic affairs handed over Regional Level Certificate and a representative of hotel and guest house entrepreneurs association accepted and extended words of thanks.
