





An event featuring a hot air balloon decoration competition, a festival market, stage shows, and entertainment programs is being held on the Strand Road of Dawei City in Taninthayi Region. On the evening of November 3rd, the area was bustling and packed with officials, local residents, visiting pilgrims, and participants.
The first-ever hot air balloon, decorated and launched by the residents of Dawei, is being showcased with the aim of fostering unity and friendship among the Dawei people and demonstrating the power of collective effort and solidarity through the formation of various associations.
The event was attended by Taninthayi Region Chief Minister U Myat Ko, Region Chief Justice, Region Government Ministers, the Deputy Commander of the Coastal Region Command, officials from relevant departments, and visitors from near and far, who came to observe and show their support.
To allow these visitors to enjoy traditional Myanmar theatrical performing arts, enthusiasts are hosting all-night stage shows, “zat pwe” performances, and other entertainment programs, singing and performing throughout the night. Furthermore, the Strand Road is adorned with colorful lights, attracting keen interest from local residents who come to watch.
Stalls at the festival market are also selling goods at affordable prices, leading to reports of the area being exceptionally crowded with people who have come to watch, shop, eat, and drink.
