Honouring Ceremony: Kachin State Gov’t Honours U-18 Men’s Football Team

Kachin State Government held an awards ceremony on Sunday evening in the Malikha Hall of the State Government Office to honor its U-18 Men’s Football Team, which secured second place in the 2025 Region and State U-18 Men's Football Tournament.

During the ceremony, State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan praised the team's excellent performance, teamwork, discipline, and perseverance. He also urged the team to use the recent competition as a benchmark, prepare for future tournaments by addressing their strengths and weaknesses, and strive for even greater success in upcoming age-group competitions. He also affirmed that the State Government would provide all necessary support to the best of its ability to promote and elevate the standard of sports in the state. And, the football team's coach expressed gratitude for the State Government's encouragement, support, and recognition.

The State Chief Minister then presented 6 million kyats for draws and wins throughout the tournament, 15 million kyats for the team's second-place finish, 2 million kyats for the two best players, and 11 million kyats in honorary awards from state-level departments and business organizations, totaling 34 million kyats.

Afterward, the Chief Minister and attendees enjoyed the honorary dinner together with performances.
