






The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation held a ceremony to honour the children of the Ministry’s staff members who passed the 2024–2025 Academic Year Matriculation Examination with distinctions on August 13.
The event took place at the Convocation Hall of the University of Forestry and Environmental Science in the University Zone of Nay Pyi Taw (Yezin), and was attended by Union Minister U Khin Maung Yi, who delivered an opening address. In his congratulatory remarks, the Union Minister commended the students for their excellent achievements and urged them to continue striving for academic excellence based on their current success.
He encouraged them to keep pace with advancements in information and communication technology, to discern both the benefits and potential drawbacks through knowledge, and to make correct and balanced use of such technologies.
He further called on the awardees to cultivate good moral character and endeavour to become dutiful sons and daughters who will serve as valuable assets to the State. Following the address, the Union Minister presented honorary certificates, awards, and cash prizes to students who achieved distinctions in all five subjects.
The Deputy Minister and departmental officials also presented awards to students who attained distinctions in five, four, and three subjects respectively. On behalf of the awardees, five-distinction achiever Ma Myint Myat Aung expressed words of thanks. After that, the Union Minister warmly met and greeted the award-winning students and their parents.
