Honorary dinner: Region CM attended honorary dinner in Myeik University

The Taninthayi Region Chief Minister U Myat Ko together with the Commander of Coastal Command Ma-J Gen. Saw Than Hlaing, region ministers and departmental officials attended the honorary dinner hosted in commemorating 24th Anniversary of the founding of Myeik University and provided cash assistance for the university development works in the evening on January 10.

First, the Chief Minister U Myat Ko gave a honoring remark and provided cash assistance of 4 million Kyats for the university development works, university fine arts association and university red cross society, the commander and well wishers provided 10 million Kyats and the rector Dr. Win Win Than and Pro-rector Dr. Soe Moe Lwin accepted the cash assistances and presented certificate of honor.

Next, the Myeik District Fisheries Federation donated 20 million kyats for the 6th International Conference on Substantial Scientific Collaboration of Ocean and Earth Sciences to be held in Myeik University and the Vice Chair person of Ocean and Earth Sciences Conference Pro-rector accepted the donation and expressed words of thanks.

Afterward, the university fine arts association catered with the songs and dances commemorating the anniversary of the university and the chief minister and party enjoyed and had honorary dinner together with the rector and faculty members and invited guests, it’s reported.
