Hlegu Education Degree College: Upgraded to 4 years B.A and B.Sc Degrees Program

Hlegu Education Degree College (Yangon) is offering the 4 years degree program, starting from 12th May. 

170 students who passed the matriculation exams in 2020 are attending the first semester course till the 30th August.

All classes are conducted in accordance with the rules and regulations of COVID-19 control. And moreover, CCTVs are installed in all campuses and dormitories for security reasons. 

Aye Aye Lwin, Headmistress, Hlegu Education Degree College said "Only 30 students are allowed in each class. Health and nutrition are in accordance with the rules and regulations of COVID-19. We also support the hand sanitizer and when students come to the classroom from the dormitory, they have to get temperature screening. And also the basins were set for hand washing, while setting the rules to stay apart each other and always wear mask."

Hlegu Education Degree College has 3 dormitories for male and 4 dormitories for female. Students from Nay Pyi Taw and Yangon such as Hlegu, ShwePyiTha and Hmawbi townships are allowed to stay in dormitories. 

San Min Ko, Students, Hlegu Education Degree College said "I am from Leway township, Nya Pyi Taw. I came to this college because I want to promote the standard of education of future generations. After I graduated, I will teach the children to be better than us. "

There are 137 students at the college who are attending the second semester of 2019-20 academic years.

Zu Zu San, Student, Hlegu Education Degree College said "I came to this college from HlainThaya and I started attending this college in 2019-2020. This college was closed during the exam because of pandemic. After I graduated, I will be teaching the children to be obedient."

Currently, the Education Degree Colleges are upgraded from 2 years to 4 years courses and will offer B.A and B.Sc degrees.
