Heavy rain disrupts citywide traffic

Rain that began in Istanbul on Tuesday evening intensified in the early hours of Wednesday. The downpour caused flooding on streets and roads across several districts. In Küçükçekmece, firefighters rescued a person trapped in a basement flat that had been flooded. Roads were inundated, and several vehicles became stranded. Traffic congestion was reported across the city.
