


The residents in Yangon Region take physical exercises at the parks by following COVID-19 preventive measures of MoHS.
Including Kandawgyi and Inya Lake, all parks in Yangon Region are reopened part time between 5am to 9:30 am aiming to contain the spread of COVID-19 disease..
Resident, Kyaukdata Township, MyatHtayKyi said “The reopening hour of the parks is great because it is a good time for doing exercises. And here, we have sports equipment for taking exercises and also children can play freely here.”
Resident, Kamayut Township, ZawHtun said “There are a bit of difficulties for those who take exercises regularly when the parks closed. But now, it is very continence for all heath seekers.”
The parks in Yangon Region have been closed since December 2020 for the COVID-19 containment and the residents in Yangon Region are now getting satisfied with reopening the parks.
Resident, Hlaing Township, MohMoh Pan PhyuHmwe said “Doing exercises is a great support for health like skipping robe, walking, running and so on. And we got fresh air in the morning and we wear mask and follow preventive measures. And we do not see the crowd like before.”
Resident, Mya Aye, Kamayut Township said “It’s over 14 years that I’ve been walking. It’s good for blood circulation and great support in daily life. And walking can reduce stress and worries during this period.”
The parks in Yangon Region are reopened starting from 21st January, it is learnt.
