Health Facilities: MOH Union Minister met health staff in Ayeyawady Region

Union Minister for Health Dr Thet Khaing Win visied Labutta People’s Hospital on 14th October, and met with the Medicalf Superinterndent, Specialists, nurses and staff.

The Union Minister stressed that the ministry is striving to nurture human resources, providing medicines and medical equipment as well as the allowance for the staff and stipends for post-graduate courses. He added that plans are underway to provide cash assistance to the staff from paramedical units.

The Union Minister later inspected the Intensive Care Unit, Emergency and Out-patient Unit, Patient Wards and Operation Theater. The Union Minister later proceeded to Pathein People’s Hospital and met with the Medical Superintendent, Township Medical officers, health staff and officials.

He said 9-storey annex building of the hospital will be opened hailing the 75th anniversary Independence Day in 2023. He urged all to strive for opening of the new facility in time, and to provide quality treatment to the patients. The Union Minister and party later inspected the construction of patient wards, operation theatre, emergency unit and X-Ray rooms.
