Health Care Services: VSG inspects the Defence Services Hospitals in Yangon

Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice Senior General Soe Win, together with the senior military officers from the Commander-in-Chief’s Office and Yangon Command Commander, visited Defence Services Orthopedic Hospital (500-Bedded) and the Defence Services General Hospital (1000-Bedded) on Friday.

The Commandants of the hospitals reported on the condition of providing treatment, implementation of four major tasks for building the military, agriculture and livestock breeding tasks. The Vice Senior General coordinated the requirements. They then observed the patient wards and encouraged the patients. The Vice Senior General also presented cash assistance for the medical staff.

The Vice Senior General and party later proceeded to Defence Services Liver Hospital and observed the condition of two patients who received the very first liver transplanting at the defence services hospital. The operation was conducted on September 27th and 28th in commemoration of the 75th anniversary Diamond Jubilee Medical Corps Day. The honorary cash rewards were also presented to the professors and medical officers who performed the liver transplant operation successfully.
