The Kyaukme District People's Hospital has been reopened after being temporarily closed since June 2024 due to security issues. The reopening was carried out with the cooperation of the Ministry of Health, Shan State Government, local authorities, and community volunteers.

The hospital officially resumed operations on November 1, providing healthcare services to local ethnic residents. During the closure period, the District Health Department had opened a temporary hospital at Laba Muni Chinese Monastery in Kyaukme on October 5, treating 3,385 patients up to November 1.

Similarly, the Naung Pain Station Hospital reopened on October 20, and has been providing medical services to nearby communities. The Ministry of Health has also reopened six rural health centers in Kyaukme Township to expand primary healthcare coverage.

Local health staff are conducting immunization campaigns, maternal and child healthcare, school health programs, and disease prevention activities. Between October 10 and November 1, health workers provided vaccinations to 3,723 children under 15 years old through the Special Immunization Activities program.
