Health Care Services: Field medical trip in Magway Region

The specialist medical teams under the Ministry of Health are conducting field medical trips in various regions and states to ensure healthy lives, promote well-being for all citizens at all ages and access to vital healthcare services and health coverage.

The medical treatment was provided to a total of 1,610 Magway residents for the 2nd time, by the specialists medical team comprising of professors/specialists from 1,000 bed Nay Pyi Taw and Mandalay General Hospitals and 550 Bedded Mandalay Children's Hospital in cooperation with the medical personnel from Magway Public Hospital on 3rd and 4th February under the program the Ministry of Health.

During the field trip, the patients residing in rural and urban areas from 19 townships in Magway Region received medical treatment. On February 2nd, a total of 108 medical personnel joined the Basic Life Support Training course conducted at Magway Region Medical Services Department’s office.

This was followed by the information sharing session to patients on the knowledge and perception about diabetes. Chief Minister U Tint Lwin together with Regional Government members comforted patients receiving medical treatment, warmly greeted the professors/specialists and gave words of thanks.

Field medical treatments have been provided by professors/specialists from Yangon, Mandalay and Nay Pyi Taw in 2023 for 15 times and plans are underway to continue field trips at Taunggyi, Pyay, Pathein, Mawlamyaing and Magway during this year.
