Harris announces $1bn in funds for Central America to combat migration

US Vice President Kamala Harris announces more than $1 billion in private funding that had been added to an initiative designed partly to combat illegal immigration, as she meets with Guatemala's new leader Bernardo on Monday. The investment will go towards projects including an initiative to transport crops from small farms to new and larger markets, construction of a new industrial park and digital financial inclusion and workforce development programs.
