





A ceremony to handover victory flag to the Myanmar student athletes who are going to participate in the 14th ASEAN Schools Games was held at the Ministry of Education in Nay Pyi Taw on 7th November. Union Minister Dr. Chaw Chaw Sein attended the event and made a speech, urging all to try their best in the competition, with the spirit of sportsmanship.
After handing over the victory flag, the Union Minister presented 5 million kyat cash reward for the athletes. Then, clarifications were made on condition of the athletes. Next, the Union Minister presented honorary certificates to Royal-D and Winner Sport to appreciate their substantial support for the athletes.
Deputy Minister U Nay Myo Hlaing also presented a honorary certificate to a responsible official from the Department of Sports and Physical Education. Afterward, the athletes group received necessary sports equipment and 2 million honory kyat award from Myanmar Track and Field Federation and Myanmar Sepak Takraw Federation.
The 14th ASEAN Schools Games is set to be held from 20th to 28th November in Brunei Darussalam under 8 sports categories. Myanmar students will participate in Badminton (Men/Women), Track & Field (Men/Women), Sepak Takraw (Men) and Basketball (Men) competition.
