The handover ceremony of agricultural machinery, purchased and provided by the Rakhine State Government's fund to local farmers, was held on the morning of May 4 at Khaing Thazin Hall in Sittwe. Rakhine State Chief Minister U Naing Oo attended the event and delivered the opening remarks.

In his speech, Chief Minister U Naing Oo stated that the ceremony marked the official transfer of agricultural machinery funded by the Rakhine State Government to the farming community. He emphasized that to develop the nation's economic sector, there must be a transition toward a mechanized farming system. This involves utilizing modern machinery across all stages from soil preparation and planting to crop care, harvesting, and storage to boost agriculture-based industrial production. He further noted that to ensure the longevity, safety, and maximum efficiency of this equipment, a Basic Agricultural Machinery Handling and Maintenance Training Course was conducted by the Department of Mechanized Agriculture under the supervision of the State Government. He added that honorary awards would be presented to outstanding trainees who studied diligently during the course. He urged the village tracts receiving the machinery to perform regular maintenance to ensure long-term utility etc.

Following that, the State Chief Minister, the Speaker of the State Hluttaw, and other officials formally handed over the agricultural machinery to the farmers and presented honorary awards to the prize-winning trainees from the maintenance course. Afterward, a representative of the farmers expressed words of gratitude, and the Chief Minister and officials took a documentary group photo with the trainees.

Afterwards, the Chief Minister and party inspected the display of agricultural machinery, where the State Director of the Department of Mechanized Agriculture provided detailed explanations of the equipment.
