






The Government-Private Sector Joint Committee Meeting (3/2025) for Trade Promotion was held at the Meeting Hall No. 2, Office No. 3, Ministry of Commerce in Nay Pyi Taw on December 9.
Chairman of the Government-Private Sector Joint Committee for Trade Promotion, Union Minister for Commerce U Chit Swe, attended and delivered an address. First, Joint Committee Chairman Union Minister U Chit Swe, delivered the address. In his speech, the Union Minister stated that the mandate of the Committee includes steering and guiding the formulation and implementation of short-term and long-term national strategies and tactics aimed at socio-economic development for the advancement of the trade sector.
Therefore, committee members are required to prepare and develop sector-specific actionable Plans of Action in alignment with the National Export Strategy 2026-2030. He emphasized that committee members must connect and support the needs of businesspersons according to their respective sectors.
He added that the Joint Committee will provide necessary guidance, focusing on export development and trade promotion for each sector. Following that, the Vice-Chairman of the Joint Committee and Deputy Minister for Finance and Revenue, U Han Win Aung, delivered an address.
The Joint Committee Secretary and Director-General of the Myanmar Trade Promotion Organization then presented a report on the status of implementation regarding the resolutions of the 2nd Meeting of the Joint Committee. Subsequently, members of the Joint Committee discussed and presented updates on activities carried out in their respective sectors. Based on these discussions, the Chairman of the Committee, Union Minister, coordinated and facilitated necessary actions and delivered the concluding remarks.
