Goodwill Visit: C-in-C Makes Visits in Novosibirsk

Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing left the Republic of Tatarstan for Novosibirsk on Saturday evening.

At PolschadMarksa Metro Station established in 1991 in Novosibirsk, the Senior General took the Metro to Lenin Square and viewed the underground metro system.

The Senior General also visited Novosibirsk State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre near Marriott Hotel where he would stay. Construction of the Theatre began in 1931 and it was opened on May 12 1945. Novosibirsk State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre is one of the largest theatres in the world.

On Sunday, the Senior General visited Higher Military Command School and laid wreaths in front of the statues of the persons who sacrificed their lives for the country. At the School’s hall, the Senior General heard presentation on history of the school and related matters, and, looked around the School.

The Senior General also visited the small firearm shooting simulator. There, he also met with scholars and held talks. After the talks, the Senior General viisted firing training ground and took part in the exercise. He also held talks with the principal of the School and exchanged gifts. Novosibirsk Higher Military Command School in Novosibirsk Academgorodok region was established in 1976.

Later the day, the Senior General visited Russian Science Academy (Novosibirsk Branch). There, Chairman Mr. Valentin N.Parmon and officials explained research projects and cooperation to the Senior General who then raised questions. At the Academy, the Senior General also visited exhibition halls, signed the Guests books and exchanged gifts.
