Golden jubilee celebration: 50th anniversary of Budget Department celebrated

In commemorating the 50th anniversary golden jubilee of the establishment of Budget Department under the Ministry of Planning and Finance, the dinner of honor and fun fair was held at the Public Finance Management Training School of Budget Department, Nay Pyi Taw in the evening on 11th December with the attendance of Union Minister U Win Shein, deputy ministers and departmental officials, retired director generals and invited guests.

At the ceremony, the Union Minister for Planning and Finance U Win Shein offered congratulation for the golden jubilee of the Budget Department established on 15th March, 1972, highlighted the important role played by the department and urged the department’s personnel to maintain the good traditions of the department and serve the interest of the people and the country for many years to come.

Next, the deputy minister U Maung Maung Win, director general (retired) Daw Nwet Nwet Win and incumbent DG Daw Thita Tun expressed words of honor regarding the history and work implementations of the department.

After ceremony, the union minister, deputy ministers enjoyed the dinner of honor together with the public service personnel of the Budget Department and invited guests, the staff members performed with the songs and dances in commemorating 50th anniversary golden jubilee of the department and the presented gifts after drawing lots, it’s learnt.
