






The event celebrating Global Entrepreneurship Week 2025, held from November 17 to 25, and Women Entrepreneurship Day 2025, observed on November 19, under the leadership of the Myanmar Women Entrepreneurs Association (MWEA), was held at the Sedona Hotel in Yankin Township, Yangon Region.
The event was held under the theme "Together We Build: Invest in Her". Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than attended the event virtually via the video conferencing system from Meeting Hall of Office No.(30) of the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw.
First, the Union Minister gave a honorary speech. He said the MWEA aims to promote the role of women entrepreneurs in Myanmar and encourage more women to emerge in this field, enhance networking and collaboration among women entrepreneurs, and foster socio-economic development through increased investment in women.
By holding discussions to honour Women Entrepreneurship Day, following the practice of countries around the world, it can greatly contribute to achieving the socio-economic development of the citizens etc. Afterwards, the chairman of the Yangon City Development Committee gave a honorary speech.
The MWEA president and advisor, and the Chairman of the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry gave welcoming remarks. Managing directors of companies gave talks on business knowledge.
Then, Vice-Chair (1) and Vice-Chair (3) of the MWEA gave words of thanks and then a group photo was taken. Later, the Union Minister attended a meeting with the officials in-charge of rubber plantations under the Ministry of Industry at the meeting hall of Office No. (30) of the Ministry of Industry.
First, the Union Minister delivered a speech and gave necessary instructions. Then, the director-general, the managing director and the general managers presented reports on the measures taken to increase rubber production and the status of collecting saplings for the replacement of old rubber plants. The Union Minister coordinated and resolved the requirements, delivered a concluding remark and the event concluded.
