Girl, 15, fatally stabbed by adult at high school

A 15-year-old girl has died after being stabbed by an adult at a Central California high school. Official said a suspect, identified only as a man in his 40s, was detained by school personnel immediately after the stabbing at Stagg High School in Stockton.

Police said they did not know the relationship between the man and the girl or the motive for the stabbing. No other students were injured. School officials said counselors would be available to talk to students.
