Germany to stop Russia oil imports by year's end

Germany is set to phase out Russian oil imports by the end of 2022, according to Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock. Speaking after meeting her Baltic counterparts in Latvia on Wednesday, she said Germany would halve Russian oil imports by the beginning of the summer.It planned to reduce them to zero by the end of the year, before starting to cut back gas imports gradually.
