General Election : Meeting for successful holding of election

On 27th December, the Tanintharyi Region Government held a work coordination meeting for successful conduct of the multi-party democracy general election scheduled for 28 December.

In his speech, Chief Minister U Myat Ko emphasized the timely completion of final election preparations, ensuring that all eligible voters are able to cast their ballots. Following this, the Commander of the Coastal Region Command, Maj-Gen Kyaw Kyaw Han, presented reports on the implementation of strict security measures in collaboration with relevant officials.

The attendees then discussed the distribution of MEVMs and related equipment, as well as further coordination tasks. After the meeting, the Chief Minister and party inspected the election booths installed at basic education schools and stadiums.

During the inspection, the Chief Minister gave instructions on systematic preparation measures, deployment of service personnel, and other necessary arrangements to ensure a smooth voting process.
