GAqP Training Course: 3-Day Training By Dept. Of Fisheries (Yangon Region)

Yangon Region Department of Fisheries under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation is conducting the trainings on fish breeding method at Hlawgar Fish Farming Camp. The trainings include the basic fish farming, freshwater fish breeding by injection method and good aquaculture practice (GAqP) training course.

Director, Department of Fisheries (Yangon Region), MyintShwe said “It's 10th aquafarming training course conducted by Yangon Region Department of Fisheries. During 3-day training, the trainees can learn freshwater fish breeding by injection method and aquafarming courses according to the good aquaculture practice techniques which are being practiced internationally.”

A total of 45 trainees including the business owners and fish breeders from NyaungHna Pin Agriculture and Livestock Breeding Zone are attending the training.

Trainee, Win MyintAung said “There are three zones in NyaungHna Pin Agriculture and Livestock Breeding Zone. Currently, I am doing fish farming business. I breed several types of fish including Rohu and Butter fish. I believe that we will gain many knowledge about aquafarming to improve our business by attending this training.” Trainee, Saw Na Say said “I am engaging fish breeding business at about 100 acres fish farm. We can learn aquafarming methods both theoretically and practically during the training.”

The training aims for fish breeders to gain the knowledge of internally practiced fish breeding methods and it will be conducted for 3 days from 20th to 22nd July.
