Further cooperation: Union Minister meets ICRC Asia-Pacific Regional Director

Union Minister for Health Dr Thet Khaing Win met a delegation led by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Asia-Pacific Regional Director Ms Christine Cipolla at the Ministry Office in Nay Pyi Taw on May 16.

During the meeting, they discussed further cooperation in healthcare services and the renewal of Regional Agreements signed by both sides.

As the Ministry of Health is the main liaison ministry, the ICRC is working with the relevant ministries and agencies for humanitarian assistance in Myanmar, and coordinating with Region and State governments to be able to continue on a wider scale, the Union minister said.

Next, they cordially exchanged views on issues related to cooperation between the ICRC and the Myanmar Red Cross Society.
